What to do when designing a logo and/or text for your custom matrix block?

Choose from the list below the size of matrix block you would like to have for your logo. Ensure that it will fit on your heating element and you have the correct O•Matrix frame for your equipment. There are several kinds of matrix block sizes to choose in our stock items. Some matrix blocks need a special frame (O•Matrix Frame) or special plate (O•Matrix Base or O•Screw Matrix Base). Please ask your dealer for help if in doubt.

Remember that the length and width of your hot print stamping area should be at least 1 mm smaller all around than the size of the O•Matrix. We also recommend that the total area of a single printing block does not exceed 20 cm². We cannot guarantee that you will have a professional or satisfactory result on a larger print area.

Design requirements

For our CNC engraver equipment to give the best resoults, the design needs to be in curves i.e. (.cdr, .eps, .ai, .pdf) or the higest resolution of pixrls, 300 dpi or more (.psd, .jpg, .tiff, .bmp) Designs with many details but low resolution will need more time to bring them to the standards required, wich will incur a cost.

Alternatively you can send your design to us and we will give you a quote for our design team to create the files needet to complete your project.

Goldcover - tip 1

Tip 2.

How to properly arrange hot print stamping fonts?

16 mm fonts have two circle gouge which allows you easer transfer and placement of the font and one marker indicating the bottom of the font. Remember that the marker always has to be at the bottom of the font (see picture)!

Goldcover - tip 2

This example shows how the font should not be arranged (see picture).

Goldcover - tip 2

9 mm and 5.5 mm fonts have two circle gouge which allows you easer transfer and placement of the font and no marker. Circle gouge which is closer to edge is indicating the bottom of the font. Remember that the gouge always has to be at the bottom of the font (see picture)!

This example shows how the font should not be arranged (see picture).

Goldcover - tip 2

Tip 3.

How to properly fix hot print stamping 6 mm and 10 mm matrix?

10 mm matrixes need to be fit directly into master frame or font frame (for small matrixes)(see picture).

Goldcover - tip 3

6 mm matrixes need to be fixed to plate (O.SCREW MATRIX BASE) with the screws or glued to plate (O.MATRIX BASE) with thermal glue (O.MATRIX GLUE) and then fit into master frame (see picture).

Goldcover - tip 3

Tip 4.

How to properly adjust setting for hot print stamping using matrix and fonts together?

When you are hot print stamping using matrix together with fonts remember to regulate plate lean. Note that fonts usually has bigger depth of penetration.

Goldcover - tip 4

Tip 5.

How can you speed up your work by using font container?

Container help you keep your work with fonts tidy and efficient (see picture).

Goldcover - tip 5
